Painting my nails is kind of an obsession. Every week I’m trying a new color or design. Newspaper print, splatter paint, neon pink, tribal print, marble. I’ve tried it all. I have a basket in my bedroom full to the brim with every color of the rainbow and then some. Buying nail polish adds up, so I am going to share with you one of my favorite designs and give you the lowdown on how I save on my polish. However, I have to admit…I spent $15 on a polish once…just once though.
Skip out on the nail salon this week and try some of these DIY designs. This way I spend less and I get bragging rights when someone asks about your nails. Instead of paying someone else to do give me a manicure, I do it at home.
Numerous times I have tried to bring out my inner-nail artist by trying to write letters on my nails, not as easy said as done. I came across a great alternative a while ago, newspaper nails. Paint a top coat, dip your fingers in alcohol, press on newspaper and ta da! Newspaper nails! With this design, I get a clean look minus the hassle and mess. Plus, it looks pretty cool.
Sally Beauty has a great collection of colors. One color I really like for this design is Blank Canvas Cream by Finger Paints. It’s a neutral color, which allows the print stand out. Use a Sally Beauty Supply coupon, I got 2 colors plus 1 free.
For bold colors & designs I am a big fan of the Ulta brand nail polish. The price is right and the colors are cute. Right now they are on sale for $2.00! Use a $15 off $75 Ulta coupon code to save on polish and other beauty needs.
Once in a while, I like to use the press on nails if I am in a rush. Ricky’s has great selection of press on nails for great prices along with polishes and other nail art accessories. Ricky’s has O.P.I. shatter nail polish for only $3.99! With any purchase from Ricky’s get a 3 free samples coupon.

I’ve shared my tips and favorite polishes, now I have one question. Has anyone ever painted their nails and not messed them up while waiting for them to dry??? I have yet to accomplish this…
